If your answer is “yes” then your local MAPPA management board would like to hear from you.

The role of the board involves managing the careful reintroduction of dangerous offenders to the community. The work is challenging and each area needs two special people to help make the right decisions.

In addition they are asking for:

• No current involvement in either the political or criminal justice areas
• High standards of literacy and numeracy but no formal educational qualifications are necessary
• Good decision making skills
• The confidence to challenge the views and assumptions of senior officials, where necessary

These are unpaid posts but expenses and loss of earnings will be reimbursed.
